Chatting With Chair Flair

At the Calgary Marriott Downtown Hotel, we sat down with Shannon Collins of Chair Flair, to discuss the event that was taking place on a sunny afternoon. The Marriott was holding an open house to show the outdoor space to couples, wedding, and event planners. Shannon and her team were highlighting how the outside patio could transform for any occasion.

Chair Flair was tasked with transforming the space, to show attendees it’s potential. She set up a ceremony site, complete with silver chaivari chairs, a wispy canopy, and café lights dangling above the area. The lights would look stunning during a twilight ceremony or event.

The Marriott Downtown also has pillar lights on the outdoor rooftop, which give off a stunning glow. Rhonda with Creative Edge Flowers created beautiful flower arrangements for the aisle runner. She also put together a gorgeous ceremony backdrop by covering several large hoops in bright pink peonies and greenery.

For the open cocktail party event, several small round tables stood on the patio. A rustic bar made of pallets was set up in the corner. Atop the bar were boxes of fresh fruit, glasses, juices, and spirits. The hotel created some great signature drinks for guests to sip while they looked around the beautiful space.

We had a great time at the Calgary Marriott Downtown with Chair Flair and Creative Edge Flowers.
