A Beautiful Engagement Party

We began our a la carte coverage of Mina and Chandan’s engagement party at Aladdin’s Casbah in Calgary, a restaurant specializing in Lebanese and Middle Eastern fare. At the party, the couple formally announced their engagement and had the opportunity to meet each other’s extended families. Mina was also presented with her beautiful engagement ring! Around 100 guests arrived, and at the door, Mina and Chandon greeted each and every person. Once everyone was settled in, we popped over to Fish Creek Park.
The Creative Portraits in Fish Creek Park, Glenfield Area
We stopped at the Glennfield Area in Fish Creek Park, a huge beautiful green space with plenty of gorgeous locations for photos. We found a nice cove of trees off to the side of the area, where we took photos of the newly engaged couple together. The beautiful green trees, tall grass, and soft light gave us the perfect backdrop for the session.
The Narang Dinner at Aladdin’s Casbah
After the shoot, we headed back to Aladdin’s Casbah, where the restaurant put on an amazing dinner. A few long tables were set up for the families and were filled with a delicious array of food for the meal. Mina and Chandan mingled with their families for the rest of the evening. We rounded out the shoot with some family photos with the bride and groom to be.
