A Classically Elegant Wedding for the Bride and Groom

Above is the beautiful Wedding Slideshow that came with Monika and Anthony’s wedding package. It was created from a selection of their best photos captured on their special day, mixed to their weddings song Everytime by Shane Filan.

Monika Getting Ready

We began the day about half an hour before the ceremony at the Wedding Pavillion, a sophisticated location in Calgary featuring classical architecture. Upstairs we captured the beautiful bride getting ready with her lovely bridesmaids. They helped lace up her gorgeous Mori Lee designed gown that she found at the Bridal Centre in Calgary. We photographed the bridesmaids and Monika in their dresses before heading downstairs to shoot some of the details of the beautiful ceremony site.

Their Ceremony at the Wedding Pavillion

The Wedding Pavillion served as a stunning backdrop to Monika & Anthony’s ceremony. Once the groom and wedding party had entered the room, the double doors were closed in anticipation for the bridal procession. When she entered the room she did so with elegance, standing at the edge of the balcony overlooking the crowd. She met her father halfway down the stairs, and they finished descending the grand staircase together before he led her down the aisle. It was a very impressive and memorable entrance to an overall beautiful ceremony.

The Creative Formals in Fish Creek Park

After the signing and recession, the team at the Wedding Pavillion was nice enough to help us organize everyone who had attended the ceremony into a giant group photo. We then used the grand staircase and some outdoor locations as the backdrops for the family photos.

The impressive interior of the Wedding Pavillion also served as a great jumping off point for our formal photos of the bride and groom. We had a number of fabulous locations and backdrops to choose from inside of the building, including the impressive staircase, the classical pillars, and the shiny grand piano.

Next, we moved the wedding party out into the beautiful autumn weather. We used the Woodbine Entrance at Fish Creek Park, and found a fantastic birch lined path for the creative formals.

The final location was out in a sunny field, and the weather could not have been better. By a happy coincidence we met a man named Mike, who was the owner of a very nice Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was kind enough to let us use it to take several fun and unique photographs for the couple.

The Cook Reception at the Carriage House Inn

After the formals were all wrapped up, we headed over to the Carriage House Inn for the reception. The team there created excellent décor and table decorations that maintained the elegant theme of the wedding. The food, also prepared by the Carriage House Inn, was exquisite.

Dinner was followed by touching speeches and the classic Shoe Game, which was great for laughs! Throughout the night, guests had the opportunity to use the photo booth, where it was clear that everyone was having a blast.

The cake was also created by the venue: a delicious three tiered vanilla creation covered in fondant. After cake the dance began, and the music by Sean from 1st in Entertainment carried the party into the night.
